Barry Stoodley Pty, Ltd.
Barry Stoodley Pty Ltd was incorporated in South Australia in June 1980 with a total staff of 5. We operated out of a small leased workshop situated very close to our current premises. The company's main function was to provide the South Australian road transport industry with an alternative workshop for the professional fitting out of prime movers and chassis modifications. We also had the State franchise for a prominent Victorian body builder.
In 2001, the company became the South Australian agent for the David Brown Powauto range of hydraulic equipment when that company closed its branch office. The name Chassis Engineering and Equipment Sales was revived, and sold and serviced hydraulic equipment from the existing premises.
In early 2005, the company acquired a Flow CNC waterjet cutting machine.
In mid 2006, the Chassis Engineering and Equipment Sales name was retired, and the Wirriga Street operation was brought under the Barry Stoodley Pty Ltd banner.
Current total staff in the three premises is approximately 70.
